Terms of Use

License and service terms

These terms describe how you can use Speakmac, what to expect from updates and support, and how we handle payments and refunds.

Last updated: November 3, 2025

Using Speakmac

Speakmac is licensed for individual use on macOS. You may install it on the Macs you own or control, but you cannot resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app without written permission.

You are responsible for keeping your hotkeys, API keys, and recordings secure. If you share a device, make sure those credentials are protected.

Updates and support

A one-time purchase includes one year of feature updates and priority support. After that window, the app continues to work, and you can optionally purchase another year of updates.

We provide email-based support for active customers. Response times depend on demand, but we aim to reply within two business days.

Refunds

If Speakmac does not work on your machine, contact [email protected] within 14 days of purchase. We will troubleshoot with you and issue a refund if we cannot resolve the issue.

Refunds are not offered for requests made more than 14 days after purchase or for issues caused by unsupported macOS versions or system-level modifications.

Acceptable use

Do not use Speakmac to record people without their consent or to violate any law. You agree not to automate spam, harassment, or other abusive behavior with the app.

If we detect behavior that harms other users or our infrastructure, we may revoke access without a refund.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to cover new features or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the date below and post an announcement on the Speakmac blog.

Continuing to use the product after a change means you accept the revised terms. If you disagree, uninstall the app and contact us about a refund if you are within the eligibility window.
