## Summary
- Speakmac is designed to run dictation on-device.
- In on-device mode, your audio is processed locally on your Mac.
- Speakmac does not require an account for dictation.

## What leaves your device?
- On-device dictation: audio stays on the Mac.
- If you explicitly enable a third-party transcription provider that requires an API key, audio is sent to that provider for transcription.

## Analytics
- The website (speakmac.app) may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic.
- The app can run with minimal analytics; some events may be optional/opt-in depending on your settings.
